AMD FAQ’s

Q: How do I buy AMD Labs™ products?
A: They are not available in health food or drug stores. Because they are specifically formulated for YOUR eye health needs, they are only available from eye care professionals.

Q: How often should I take the supplements?
A:
Twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening with food. Because these supplements are potent, they are best taken with meals to prevent stomach upset. Also, always tell your eye doctor if you smoke or start taking any new prescription medicines.

Q: What if I already take a multi-vitamin?
A:
Tell your eye doctor what you are taking. He or she may recommend that you continue with your regular multi-vitamin, or may determine that your AMD Labs™ formula covers all your needs.

Q: Why does AMD Labs™ use only FloraGLO® Lutein in their products?
A:
FloraGLO® Lutein is a purified source of Lutein and Zeaxanthin. This product is manufactured according to a patented process and is the only product available which contains concentrated, purified Lutein and Zeaxanthin.

Q: How long will I have to take the supplements?
A:
For as long as you wish to protect your health and vision! It is unlikely that our food supply will ever be able to provide the optimal levels of nutrients you need to safeguard your general health and, more importantly, the health of your eyes.

Q: What about calcium and iron? Do I take those separately?
A
: Because of its bulk, calcium cannot be combined in AMD Labs™ formulations in sufficient amounts for supplementation. We recommend a total of 1,000 mg a day for men and women who are pre-menopause, and a total of 1,500 mg a day for women who are post-menopause. Because supplemental iron is not always indicated, you should ask your doctor about it.

Q: Are AMD Labs™ products covered by insurance?
A:
Some plans that include coverage for prescription drugs may reimburse you, since AMD Labs™ products are physician-prescribed. We suggest you submit a claim in the usual manner, including a prescription signed by your doctor, and proof of payments.
